Apple Drops Chilling Preview For New Murder Mystery: TRAILER

The first trailer for "Presumed Innocent" with Jake Gyllenhaal is here.

The plot of the upcoming limited series from Apple is described as follows:

"Presumed Innocent" is an eight-episode limited series starring and executive produced by Jake Gyllenhaal, hailing from David E. Kelley and executive producer J.J. Abrams and is based on the New York Times bestselling novel of the same name by Scott Turow. Starring Gyllenhaal in the lead role of chief deputy prosecutor Rusty Sabich, the series takes viewers on a gripping journey through the horrific murder that upends the Chicago Prosecuting Attorney’s office when one of its own is suspected of the crime. The series explores obsession, sex, politics, and the power and limits of love, as the accused fights to hold his family and marriage together. The star-studded ensemble cast of the thriller also includes Ruth Negga, Bill Camp, Elizabeth Marvel, Peter Sarsgaard, O-T Fagbenle and Renate Reinsve.

Admittedly, I haven't read the book or seen the movie with Harrison Ford. However, I'm okay with that because I like going into things like this blind.

Judging from the preview, it's going to be an insane ride. Give it a watch below, and hit me with your thoughts at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.

Apple releases trailer for "Presumed Innocent."

What do we all think? Personally, I think "Presumed Innocent" looks damn good. Jake Gyllenhaal is a hell of an actor, the plot details sound great and we all know I love dark content.

If the preview is an accurate indication of things to come, it's going to be a wildly dark murder-mystery, and I'm here for it.

Nothing gets the blood pumping like a great murder investigation that unfolds in front of a dedicated audience. That's why "True Detective" season one remains the greatest single season of TV ever made.

Plus, Apple TV+ is on a hell of a roll lately. "Masters of the Air" is the best show of the year so far, and "Black Bird" was also an amazing show in 2022. There are also a few other great ones mixed in. Now, Apple will try to strike fire again with "Presumed Innocent" starting June 12. Let me know your thoughts at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
