Alvin Bragg Accused Of Illegally Discriminating Against Straight White Men In His Office
Alvin Bragg, Manhattan District Attorney who dubiously secured 34 felony convictions against Donald Trump, is back in the news.
Last week, the Soros-backed DA dropped nearly all the charges against the anti-Israel protesters at Columbia who smashed windows and used a human chain to block entry to university buildings.
This week, Bragg is accused of unlawful discrimination.
Tuesday, America First Legal (AFL), a conservative action group led by former Trump administration officials, filed a complaint with the Attorney Grievance Committee of the First Judicial Department in New York against Bragg and his office. The 10-page letter alleges that Bragg's office discriminates against straight white men during hiring practices.
Dan Epstein, AFL's vice president, says Bragg's office has illegally used race and/or sex as a factor in hiring.
Specifically, an online application for the office requires applicants to identify their race and gender. The page also gives applicants a drop-down menu to declare their LGBT-related identities, such as "bisexual," "gay," "lesbian," and "trans."
"Heterosexual" is not one of the options.
Imagine that.
"We should expect that those who carry out law enforcement are held to the highest legal compliance standards. Under Alvin Bragg’s leadership, the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office appears to have fallen below those high standards and unlawfully discriminated against employment applicants to his office," the AFL said in a statement.
"Lawyers are guardians of the Constitution and the law; compliance with the highest ethical standards is necessary to serve those who need access to justice with fidelity."
Bragg's office insists it is "an inclusive equal opportunity employer committed to recruiting and retaining a diverse workforce and providing a work environment that is free from discrimination."
It's unclear if Bragg's office has an official DEI director to oversee the job applicant procedures. The Biden campaign does – err is hiring one. The role entails finding where racism has slipped between the cracks and ensuring the campaign team is hiring enough non-white applicants.
The job pays $120,000 a year.
(But, per the campaign, you must be "up to date on COVID-19 vaccination status as prescribed by the CDC as a condition of employment.")
What Bragg's office is accused of doing and Biden's campaign admits to doing would seem to be in direct violation of the Title VII law of the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
Commissioner Andrea R. Lucas explained in January, in response to entrepreneur Mark Cuban admitting to illegal DEI practices:
"@mcuban , EEOC Commissioner here. Unfortunately you’re dead wrong on black-letter Title VII law. As a general rule, race/sex can’t even be a "motivating factor"—nor a plus factor, tie-breaker, or tipping point. It’s important employers understand the ground rules here," Lucas posted on X.
Bragg's office did not respond to the Daily Mail's report on the complaint.
