50 Cent Puts Donald Trump's Face On ‘Get Rich Or Die Tryin’' Album Cover Following Assassination Attempt
Donald Trump and 50 Cent have at least one thing in common: They've both survived being shot.
A gunman opened fire at a rally in Butler, Penn., on Saturday in an attempt to assassinate the former President. A bullet grazed Trump's ear, but the Secret Service was able to take out the shooter and rush the GOP nominee to safety. The shooting also left one spectator dead and others critically wounded.
Following the assassination attempt, 50 Cent posted the cover of Get Rich or Die Tryin’ — his debut album — on social media. In the photo, he superimposed Trump's face on his own body.
"Trump gets shot and now I'm trending," he captioned the post.
The 2003 album track "Many Men (Wish Death)" references the rapper surviving someone opening fire on him. He’s previously talked about the incident in which he was shot nine times.
The lyrics are eerily relevant to Saturday's events: "Many men, wish death upon me / Blood in my eye dog and I can’t see / I’m trying to be what I’m destined to be / And (expletive) trying to take my life away."
And 50's certainly not the only one to make that comparison. Retired NFL wide receiver Antonio Brown posted on X just after the shooting, "Cue up Many Men by 50 and we gonna win the presidency in a landslide. F*cking Legend of the Decade."
The rap star — whose real name is Curtis Jackson — even featured the Trump album cover in the background on stage during his show in Boston on Saturday night.
Jackson has posted multiple times on Instagram about President Trump since the incident, including a meme reading, "You Come at the King, you best not miss."
The Grammy-Award-winning performer has not been shy about his distaste for Joe Biden and the Democrats in recent years. Last October, he criticized Biden for being on vacation all the time with the world and our country in chaos. And in February, he blasted New York City's plan to give pre-paid credit cards to illegal immigrants — suggesting "maybe TRUMP is the answer."
It does seem like President Trump has 50 Cent's full support now.
