10 Instant Thoughts On Biden-Trump Debate

And there you have it.

Here are my 10 instant thoughts following the first 2024 presidential debate between Joe Biden and Donald Trump:

1. Joe Biden looked feeble and frozen, early:

2. The muted-mic format benefited Donald Trump. He was the adult in the room.

3. Credit where it's due, CNN moderators Jake Tapper and Dana Bash did a good job. They stayed out of the way, asked both candidates the requisite questions, and let Biden and Trump decide the winner.

(See how it's done, Chris Wallace?)

4. Biden's team is going to have to play up the "He had a cold" card to defend his performance.

5. No, trillionaires did not invade America on fire-breathing dragons and start raping their brothers and sisters. This isn't Game of Thrones.

6. Per Gallup, the new main concerns for voters are the economy and immigration, the two topics on which Biden struggled most tonight.

7. Joe Biden is not cognitively fit to be the president. It's obvious. He does not have the mental acuity to do the job.

8. The headline tomorrow will be as follows: "Should the Democrats replace Biden?"

9. I still think Biden is the Democrat nominee — unless Michelle Obama changes her mind.

10. Donald Trump won. It wasn't close. This was his No Más moment.
