1 In 3 People Say They Wouldn't Marry Their Spouse If They Did It Again Today

Life can be quite tempting these days.

Thanks to the rise of technology and literally having anything and everything you want simply by using your fingers and a quick swipe on your iPhone, it's understandable why people aren't able to focus or settle down. They always want something more and are tempted by the blinding lights.

It appears that it has now crossed over to the relationship side of things as well.

According to an analysis of hundreds of responses to a viral Reddit Thread in the "Wedding" category, 1 in 3 people said that they would not marry their spouse if they could do it all over again today.

I guess "I do…" should be changed to "I do…for right now."

1 IN 3 WOULDN'T MARRY THEIR SPOUSE TODAY

According to StudyFinds.org, those that were still happy about their marriages enjoyed the opportunity to continue to grow with one another, their ability to be a good parent, as well as "feeling lucky to have found their match."

For everyone else? Well, it's amazing how much leaving the toilet seat up or unexpected credit card purchases on things one doesn't need can become a nuisance after a while. And God forbid when the husband does something wrong - he'll never hear the end of it for months!

The entire Reddit thread is a whirlwind of emotions - akin to what Sesame Street's Elmo dealt with just a few months ago when he made the mistake of asking "How everyone is doing?" The result was absolute chaos and absolutely gave Elmo PTSD.

You can check out the entire Wedding Reddit thread here and brag on or disparage your own marriages as you please.

Here were some of my favorite responses so far:

- "No way in hell. Been married nearly 18 years, (43F, 44M) If I knew he was going to need me to be his mother & fail to keep a decent job & gain 100lbs I would've run for the hills."

- no. he had a secret life for ten years as a sex addict, porn addiction, cheated on me, gave me an sti, has lied for a decade. he ruined my life. I moved out and filed for divorce in october.

- We’re getting-to-be-late 40’s and married for almost 30 years. I would do it again in a heartbeat but in all those decades things were not always all roses. Some times were actually pretty scary in the sense that after a long time you have so much of yourself vested in a shared life that the prospect (as unlikely as it may be) of it being shattered is horrifying.

- No! 20 years now and he has stolen a lot of joy from me.
