Calvin Johnson did a lot for the Detroit Lions organization. He starred at wide receiver for almost a decade, racking up 11,619 yards and 83 touchdowns in 135 career games. That led to things such as Pro Bowls, All-Pro honors and even a Madden cover appearance.

Still, things in Detroit didn't end well between Megatron and his longtime team.

There's reportedly been money disputes at play, but owner Sheila Ford Hamp doesn't want that to keep the two parties from making nice and mending fences. In fact, she said as much on Thursday.

"Well, I’m not going to go into the money issue, but I hope we can repair things with Calvin Johnson," Ford Hamp said, via The Detroit News. "He was obviously an amazing player for us. We’re going to continue to reach out to him and hope that we can repair things because I think it’s important that he comes back into the Lions family. We’d love if he could, if he will. We are 100% behind him for his Hall of Fame ballot and hope he gets it this time. He was a great, great player and a terrific person and we’d love to have him back with us and working with us and helping us with everything."

Johnson being a Pro Football Hall of Fame finalists is no coincidence. The man was an absolute unit in Detroit, being one of the top height-weight-speed athletes of all-time. At 6-foot-5, 237 pounds, he is one of the league's most freakish athletes, but he also had all of the nuances of playing receiver down too.

Honestly, the more I write about him, the more I miss him. The guy was probably one of my favorite players of all time.
