Tyson Fury Not Interested In BBC's 'Sh*t Award'

We don't know whether WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury has sent Santa a Christmas wish list, but we do know he what he doesn't want -- a "shit award" from the BBC. (Relax, that's a figurative "shit award," not a literal one.)

Anyway, the BBC recently announced that Fury is one of six nominees for Sports Personality of the Year, and the prospect of winning makes him about as excited as Clark Griswold is when he sees an asshole in his bathrobe emptying a chemical toilet into his sewer.

Fury, 33, took to his Instagram account to voice his displeasure: "Hi this is Tyson fury the gypsy king. This is a message for @bbcsport and their SPOTY award. Please take me off your list as I'm the people's champion and have no need for verification or any awards."

There are five other nominees, so maybe Fury just thinks the shitter award is full?

"I know who I am and what I've done in the sport. I have the love of the people which means more to me than all the awards in the world," added Fury. "To anyone who supports me, don't vote."

And he means it. After all, Fury's already attempted to gift the BBC a membership in the jelly of the month club.

“I’ve told them to take me off. I don’t want any part of it. I do not need a s*** award from a TV company to say 'well done' for what I’ve done this year. I know who I am, I know what I’ve done," Fury said, per The Telegraph.

He continued: "(The BBC has) not listened and they’ve had a letter from Robert , a serious letter as well. I hope they do the right thing," said the world champion. "I don’t want to take it away from somebody who it would mean something to. Give it to someone who deserves it. I don’t work for it.”

It's probably safe to say that the only thing that would be more surprising than Fury being announced as the SPOTY winner, would be if he woke up tomorrow with his head sewn to the carpet.
