Tattoo-gate? Woodley's Failure To Get Inked Makes A Rematch With Jake Paul Less Likely

Jake Paul was out of the spotlight just long enough to crave some more attention. On Monday, he found a few more cameras and said just enough to once again move the needle. The YouTuber turned boxer commented that he would not be granting August opponent Tyron Woodley a rematch because Woodley failed to make good on a pre-fight bet involving a tattoo.

"I'm over it. I'm leaving Tyron in the past," Paul told ESPN.

Following their August 30th bout, which Paul won by split decision, Woodley pressed Paul for a rematch while still in the ring. Paul told Woodley: "If you get the tattoo 'I love Jake Paul,' let's run it back." Woodley responded: "Bet."

Woodley still wants another shot at Paul, but thus far, hasn't gone through with the required ink."I'm over it," said Paul via ESPN. "I'm leaving Tyron in the past. He didn't live up to the bet — he didn't get the tattoo. So, the rematch just doesn't make sense anymore."

With the Woodley chapter apparently closed, Paul teased the possibility of a bout with another former MMA star, Vitor Belfort. The 44-year old Belfort dismantled former heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield over the weekend, then called out Paul.

Triller Fight Club, which promoted the Holyfield-Belfort fight, has reportedly offered a $30 million winner-take-all purse for a Belfort-Paul tussle.

"It could be a possibility," Paul told ESPN. "But honestly, Triller doesn't have that money. There's no possible way. It's just a smart play on their end. It's not really that interesting of a fight, in my opinion. Vitor, again, is old and washed up. He was a big name at one point, but not for this sort of new combat sports world. He's a little bit too old. It's not that exciting. He's an easier fight than Tyron. So, I don't know."

Maybe a tattoo could entice Paul to sign on the dotted line.
