Biden Tells Packer Fan At Tornado Cleanup That Rodgers Should Get Vaccinated
While touring Kentucky, which had recently been ravaged by tornados, President Joe Biden managed to find time amid the mess to chide Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers about his vaccination status.
"Tell that quarterback he's got to get the vaccine," Biden told a tornado survivor who was wearing a Packers hat.
Rodgers is unvaccinated and relied on treatments other than the vaccine to overcome a mild bout of COVID earlier this fall. Since returning to the field, still vaxx-less and now sans COVID, Rodgers has thrown 10 touchdown passes against one interception and guided Green Bay to three wins in four games.
Biden made the poorly-timed and wildly inappropriate comment while in Dawson Springs, Kentucky, one of the areas hardest hit by last Friday's tornados. TMZ was able to obtain video of Biden's jab here.
The president made the comment while masked outside (because cosmetic theatre is always in play) surrounded by a handful of other unmasked survivors. It's not clear whether they needed to show proof of vax status in order to walk through the remaining rubble that was once their homes and businesses.
President Biden's request for Rodgers to vaccinate comes at a time when the NFL is dealing with an abundance of COVID cases. Of course, nearly all the players and coaches who have contracted the virus are not only asymptomatic and feeling fine, many are also already vaccinated.
Biden is shameless. He directed the focus away from the horrific damage caused by recent storms to promote the jab, even as he was speaking to fellow Americans in crisis. If he opts to tour any other tornado-ravaged towns, he may want to consider leaving the vaccination status of NFL players out of the conversation.
At the very least, he should give it a shot.
