PrizePicks For Eagles Vs. Texans: Thursday Night Football, Week 9
One of the most fun and lucrative ways to get action on an NFL slate is by playing daily fantasy sports (DFS) with our friends, PrizePicks.
Let's spice up the Thursday Night Football matchup with the Houston Texans hosting the Philadelphia Eagles at NRG Stadium in Week 9 with a PrizePicks entry.
Instead of building a standard DFS lineup, with PrizePicks, you assemble 2-, 3-, 4- or 5-player entries. At PrizePicks, players don't compete against other people, but rather vs. PrizePicks' projections.
I'm more of a sports bettor than a DFS player yet PrizePicks is still fun because their "Flex" or "Power" plays are similar to betting on player props. Choose whether a player will get "more" or "less" than the stat chosen.
In the "Power" play, all the selections must be correct to win. While the "Flex" play allows you to miss a selection and still profit but there's a 3-player minimum per "Flex" entry.

PrizePicks 2-Player "Power" play in Eagles at Texans
Pick #1: Texans RB Dameon Pierce "Less" than 63.5 rushing yards
Pierce has been productive in his rookie season and has gained "more" than 63.5 rushing yards in five of his seven games this season.
But, if Eagles-Texans plays out like the oddsmakers suggest, which is a landslide victory for Philadelphia, then Houston will be playing from behind and will abandon the run.
Furthermore, the Eagles have only allowed two running backs (Lions RB D'Andre Swift in Week 1 and Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliot in Week 6) this season to rush for more than 63.5 yards.
Lastly, Philadelphia's run-stopping mismatch over Houston's offensive line is one of the NFL's biggest in Week 9, per Pro Football Focus (PFF), and the Texans have the 2nd-fewest yards before contact.
Pick #2: Eagles TE Dallas Goedert "more" than 45.5 receiving yards
Goedert flies under the radar in Philly's offense because of his superstar WR teammates and the year-over-year improvement of QB Jalen Hurts.
However, Goedert is PFF's 4th-highest graded tight end in the league and he has the 3rd-biggest tight end vs. linebacker pass coverage mismatch in Week 9.
The strength of Houston's pass coverage is at the CB position. The Texans selected CB Derek Stingley Jr. in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft. Houston's other two starting CBs grade 28th and 10th out of 110 NFL CBs, per PFF.
Finally, Goedert has gone over 45.5 receiving yards in five of his seven games this season and eight of 15 games in 2021 (Hurts' 1st full season as a starter).
