Odds Suggest Nuggets Should Fare Better In Game 2
The Denver Nuggets built a nice lead in Game 1 of their playoff series vs. the Phoenix Suns, but thanks to the likes of Devin Booker, Chris Paul and the Suns, that lead didn't last. So what should we expect from Game 2?
The answer is perhaps something similar, as the Nuggets have done an admirable job on the road this season, winning two games in Portland in the first round. In other words, if they don't outright win Game 2 in Phoenix, they should at least keep it close.
A major reason for that, of course, is Nuggets center and freshly minted NBA MVP Nikola Jokic. He averaged close to a triple-double during the regular season and plays well everywhere.
The Nuggets also have the edge in meaningful games, advancing to the Western Conference finals last season -- even though they were the first team ever to trail two straight playoff series by a 3-1 count and win anyway.
So your best bets via Fanduel is the Nuggets at +5.5 and the under of 223.5. While these teams have the potential to be involved in a shootout, the defense always tightens as we get deeper in the playoffs.
