We are off to a good start with our early games for Thursday and Friday plays, with Houston covering the spread easily. Today we take a look at an over, an under, a side, and an underdog to play for the Saturday college slate.

Buffalo at Kent State

I love MACTION. Something about these games is just more fun than the rest of college football to me. Buffalo has an offense that is really good when it is firing on all cylinders. This week, they are facing a Kent State team that is allowing 429 yards per game. Buffalo quarterback Kyle Vantrease played poorly last week, but I think he should rebound nicely. Kevin Marks Jr. Is a solid running back option and can rack up yards on big plays in a hurry. Kent State also has some nice offensive pieces and Buffalo allows 391.6 yards per game to offenses. I expect this to be a very high-scoring game. Play over 65.5 at -104.

Michigan at Nebraska

In a Big 10 matchup between Michigan and Nebraska, I expect points to be difficult to come by. Michigan has been great so far this year and finally appear to be what the college was expecting when it hired Jim Harbaugh. I wouldn’t call either team a defense-first school right now, but both are holding opponents to about two scores per game, which is great. Nebraska held Oklahoma to just 23 points at Oklahoma and did the same to Michigan State at Michigan State. I feel like Nebraska might win this one, so we are playing the +132 as our underdog, and under 50.5 points at -105 (I think this game ends in the 40’s) ---- not in a parlay. Two separate bets.

Georgia Tech at Duke

Georgia Tech is headed into Duke to take on a frustrating Blue Devils team. Duke has beaten Northwestern and Kansas – neither are amazing – and then laid an egg against North Carolina. The Tar Heels allowed just 7 points to the home Duke team. Maybe this is a game that Georgia Tech won’t get up for – they too have been frustrating. But, they beat North Carolina at home by 23 points, and they competed with Clemson on the road, losing 14-8. That’s been impressive, but last week they got demolished by Pitt. I don’t expect that to be a problem this week against Duke and as long as quarterback Jeff Sims controls the ball, Georgia Tech should cover the -3.5 spread.
