NBA Risk-Free Same Game Parlay: Clippers-Trailblazers
The NBA season is in full swing and we have a fun opportunity for what essentially is a risk-free bet on a Same Game Parlay for Tuesday games on TNT. The proposal is to put together a 3+ leg same game parlay and regardless of if it wins or loses, you’ll earn a $10 site credit bonus. So that is precisely what we will do.
For tonight’s game, we will put one on the Clippers and Trailblazers. This is already the third matchup between Portland and Los Angeles, so there is some fresh data in here for us to examine. The first two matchups were split so we will see where this night takes us.
To start, we are going to put in Robert Covington to net at least two three-pointers in the game. He’s been very inconsistent with his point total this season but scored 9 against the Clippers in their last matchup. Of course, he didn’t score at all in the first matchup against them. In his last two games, he’s had 12 points and 19, respectively. On the season, he’s exceeded his posted total in 50% of the game, so the juice isn’t really in our favor in this one. As for threes though, he’s taken 55 field goals on the year, 49 have been from beyond the arc. I like the chances he can get two tonight.
Next, we are going to take Paul George to hit 4+ threes. This is a play we can get at plus money which makes our value better. George is averaging 9 three-point attempts per game at home, and hitting about three. So, basically, he needs to shoot just a hair better than normal in order to get this to hit. He’s also had five games this season where he’s made four or more deep shots.
Nicolas Batum is the stop for our last leg of the parlay. Batum has been on a really nice scoring streak lately. In the past four games, he’s scored 16, 12, 20, and 14 points. The worst part of this bet is that he’s only scored two points in both games against the Trailblazers. Neither of those games were particularly close, so either Batum is just awful against the Blazers, or it was more a factor of the game. I’m banking on it being the second.
