Clemson Offensive Coordinator Tony Elliott Missing Ohio State Game Due to COVID-19

Clemson announced that offensive coordinator Tony Elliott will have to miss the College Football Playoff semifinal game against Ohio State on Friday due to COVID-19 protocols.

Ross Dellenger of Sports Illustrated says that Clemson officials believe, for the time being at least, that Elliott is asymptomatic. Therefore, depending on the date he took the test, he could be eligible to return on January 7th or 8th. Should Clemson advance past Ohio State, Elliott could be back for the national title game on January 11th.

For what it's worth, the line over at our partners at FanDuel hasn't reacted at all to this announcement yet. Clemson was favored by 7.5 points earlier this week, and that remains the case right now.
