A Major Positive Step for Mobile Sports Gambling in Tennessee

As states across the country continue to move in the direction of mobile sports betting, we've got good news out of Tennessee.

Sports Handle, a site that covers the sports gambling industry, reported on Wednesday that FanDuel, BetMGM, and DraftKings received "conditional approval" from the Tennessee Education Lottery Corporation (TEL) board to launch on November 1st.

The site added: "Among the outstanding items that operators and Lottery staff will have to deal with ahead of launch are providing fingerprints, securing letters of reference from other states the operators are live in as well from law enforcement, clarifying some issues with regard to reserve accounts and insurance requirements, and completing/reviewing advertising and marketing campaigns."

This is major news for Outkick, which is based in Tennessee (where founder Clay Travis and partner Sam Savage live) and has a big partnership with FanDuel.

Other states that currently allow mobile sports betting include New Jersey, Illinois, Colorado, Indiana, Iowa, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania.
