Week 6 SEC Betting Lines: A Pivotal Weekend Awaits

It was upset Saturday in the SEC, as we had some conference shakeups, thanks to Kentucky, Auburn and Mississippi State. We head into Week Six of the SEC with multiple marquee conference games, including Alabama and Georgia. Here are the betting lines and previews for another pivotal Saturday.

Make sure to check out FanDuel for the latest betting lines and keep up to date on all the games heading into the weekend.

Arkansas vs. Ole Miss (-5)

The Razorbacks are coming off a tough loss at Georgia, where the offense struggled to get past midfield. I don't think that was the Arkansas team we will see the rest of the season. Georgia is just that good. As long as K.J. Jefferson is healthy, I'd look for this Arkansas team to bounce back this weekend.

For Ole Miss, the head coach didn't put his defense in the best spots this past weekend against Alabama, but it's not all doom and gloom for the offense. Matt Corall is still one of the best QBs in the country. This team ran into a wall against the Tide, but I expect them to bounce back at home this weekend. Have fun betting this game, as both teams are determined to play better.

Vanderbilt vs. Florida (-38.5)

The Gators are coming off the road loss to Kentucky, looking to get their season back on track. Florida struggled with turnovers and penalties against the Wildcats, so we know that will be a point of emphasis this week. Vanderbilt broke an 8-game home losing streak with the win over UConn on Saturday. I'd watch out for this game, as we don't know how much the Gators will be up for a noon kickoff against a bad Vandy team.

South Carolina vs. Tennessee (-9.5)

The Vols came out on fire Saturday, rushing for more than 470 yards against Missouri. This Tennessee team looks to have figured out a few things on offense. Hendon Hooker was the starting QB for this game and passed for 225 yards and 3 TDs, so there shouldn't be any question who the starter will be against South Carolina.

The Gamecocks are coming off a close win over Troy and are still having problems on offense. Shane Beamer is doing a good job trying to turn things around, but I don't know how much success they'll have against the Vols. This line doesn't surprise me.

Georgia (-13.5) vs. Auburn

Well, Georgia continued to show its dominance with another eye-opening performance against Arkansas. The Dawgs' defense held the Razorbacks to just 162 total yards and notched the shutout win. The QB situation at Georgia is something to keep an eye on, as they will decide whether Stetson Bennett or JT Daniels will get the start.

As for Auburn, they went down to Baton Rouge and pulled off the comeback win, thanks in part to QB Bo Nix. The Tigers looked aggressive on offense and have found the right split between running and passing, but there are a couple key injuries to watch for in this game. This will be a tough matchup for Auburn, but we've seen crazier things happen on the Plains.

North Texas vs. Missouri (-20.5)

The Tigers are coming off two straight losses and they also fired the defensive line coach on Sunday, one day after giving up over 450 yards rushing to Tennessee. This Missouri team still has weapons on offense, but won't get far with that defensive unit. North Texas comes into this game 1-3 on the season and they've been blown out in every game but one. Missouri shouldn't have a problem this weekend.

LSU vs. Kentucky (-2.5)

Well, Kentucky is undefeated, coming off the upset win over No. 10 Florida. This Wildcats team looked pretty good in key moments against the Gators. The defensive unit forced a turnover and held the Gators to 4-13 on 3rd down. The Cats will still need more from QB Will Levis, especially against this LSU team.

The Tigers are coming off a home loss against Auburn and will look to bounce back in Lexington. This LSU team has struggled offensively, especially trying to run the football. I would say Kentucky is in a very good spot, heading into this huge game against the Tigers.

Alabama (-17.5) vs. Texas A&M

The Tide rolled against Ole Miss on Saturday and pretty much had the game locked up by halftime. Alabama showed off the running game, but still let Bryce Young handle things in the pocket. Turns out, they didn't need many long drives, thanks to weird decision making from Lane Kiffin.

This Alabama team looks to be headed towards Atlanta, but must stop through College Station on the way. The Aggies looked pretty bad against Mississippi State, struggling on both sides of the ball. This team doesn't look like much of a threat when they are throwing the football, but I will say the defense has the ability to get after the quarterback. It's a lot of points, but Alabama is playing extremely well right now, while the Aggies are riding a 2-game losing streak.

Another big weekend in the SEC, so make sure to do your homework on these teams before placing your bets.
