We Hate The Astros, But Love Zack Greinke More With Every Start
We here at Outkick join the rest of America -- with the obvious exclusion of their fans -- in absolutely hating the Houston Astros.
We loved that Joe Kelly owned them and made a pouty face while talking smack. We ripped Rob Mansfred for being a human shield for the cheaters, when he suspended Kelly. We relished the A's play-by-play guy making buzzing noises when they came to the plate. We are chronicling how much of a whiny baby Jose Altuve is being about how much he stinks when he doesn't know what pitch is coming.
But, damn do we love Zack Greinke. We love that he literally told the an opposing batter that he was throwing a slider. And we also love that he told Colorado Rockies infielder Ryan McMahon, "Nice take," after laying off a slider.
Just listen to this audio!
Greinke broke into the big leagues all the way back in 2004 as a 20-year old and is an insane 16-year veteran. He has often been a misunderstood figure to fans and journalists but almost always among the best in the league when he takes the mound.
His career records stands at 203-113 with a 3.35 ERA, and the advanced metrics of a 126 ERA+ and 66.7 WAR.
Greinke also has a career earnings over $282M.
