The Titans Hate Their Fans
The Tennessee Titans are the worst run franchise in pro sports and hate their fans.
That's the only conclusion you can draw from the team's decision to promote interim head coach Mike Mularkey, who went 2-7 this season and has gone 18-39 in his NFL coaching career. Even Mularkey had to be stunned that he gets a third opportunity to be an NFL coach. For those of us, like me, who are season ticket holders and yearly send thousands of dollars to the Titan coffers, it's impossible for us to draw any conclusion other than the Titans ownership is attempting a Major League-esque move.
It's gotten so bad that fans are making rap songs about how bad the Titans suck.
On Saturday night, just an hour or so after the announcement of Mike Mularkey's hire, I went on Facebook and Periscope and crushed the franchise. Over 70k of you -- so more than attend a Titans game -- have watched my 25 minute rant so far. It's our most watched Periscope show ever, but the show has disappeared from Periscope. Fortunately Facebook archives our Outkick the Show videos forever. Enjoy:
My primary criticism is this -- just sell the damn team. On Sunday Fox's Jay Glazer reported there was a strong league move to bring Peyton Manning in as part owner.
