Tennessee Football Investigation Tab Is Nearly $1 Mil And Growing

The investigation into the University of Tennessee football program has been ongoing since November 2020, when allegations were first brought to the Chancellor. Though it has seemed like a drawn out investigation to some, the law firm of Bond, Schoeneck & King has continued its inquiry into the alleged violations committed by the previous staff.

Attorneys Kyle Skillman and Michael Glazier are representing the law firm and were hired by the university last year. Glazier is well known for his work with the NCAA and other member institutions when it comes to these types of matters. They are working alongside Tennessee's general counsel during this process.

The law firm has billed the university every month since their work began, with the highest bill, which was $189,171, coming in January 2021.

According to records obtained by OutKick, the law firm billed the university $87,285.04 for the month of August. This would be the third lowest month billed to the school since the investigation began, behind the $77,211 for the month of May and the $12,876 for the month of November, when the investigation was launched.

This brings the grand total for the investigation at over $943,607 and that's just through August.

Tennessee hopes to wrap things up soon, but meanwhile the investigation continues and only time will tell when the full report is handed over. The school has been in constant contact with the NCAA during this process, even having them attend interviews virtually.

Jeremy Pruitt and several assistant coaches and staffers were fired in January because of alleged NCAA violations.
