SEC Week 12 Betting Lines Released, With A Few Interesting Matchups

Well, this is what we like to call "Cupcake Week" in the SEC, with only a few conference games surrounded by a bunch of "buy games." But there are a few interesting games with some SEC division title implications to keep an eye on.

We're going to discuss the big games in the conference and lay out the "gimme a break" games.

Florida @ Missouri (+7.5)

Missouri is coming off a nice win over South Carolina, where Tyler Badie carried the Tigers to victory with over 200 yards rushing. The Tigers will have a QB decision to make, as Connor Bazelak and Brady Cook could split reps this week.

As for the Gators, well they are coming off an ugly win against Samford, which scored 52 points on their defense. It feels like this Gators team has checked out, and Missouri could potentially take advantage. Both teams are fighting to become bowl eligible. This line could end up moving in the Tigers' direction.

Auburn @ South Carolina (+6.5) 

The Gamecocks dropped their game at Missouri this weekend, after working their way back from a 17-point deficit in the 4th quarter. We will see how Shane Beamer uses QB Jason Brown in this game, as the Tigers were pretty bad against the pass this weekend.

Speaking of the Tigers, they are coming off a humiliating performance against Mississippi State. They gave up a 28-3 lead, and the Bulldogs scored 40 unanswered points to win the game. Auburn QB Bo Nix suffered a broken ankle this past weekend, which is very unfortunate. Look for T.J. Finley to get the start for the Tigers. This line could definitely fluctuate now, so pay attention later in the week, if you like the Gamecocks.

Arkansas @ Alabama (-20.5)

The Tide are coming off a throttling of New Mexico State, which really doesn't prove anything, but this team is good anyways. Alabama has a chance to punch its ticket to Atlanta this weekend with a win over Arkansas.

As for the Razorbacks, they got out of Baton Rouge with the win, thanks to a game winning FG in overtime. I really like what Sam Pittman has done with this team, but feel as though the Tide will be too much to handle this weekend. Either way, expect Arkansas to show up and play physical football. Maybe Arkansas can take this game into the 2nd half, especially if they force some Alabama turnovers. This should be a fun atmosphere.

Vanderbilt @ Ole Miss (-36.5)

Ole Miss is coming off a huge win over Texas A&M, as the Rebels forced a few turnovers, including a pick-six in the 4th quarter. The Rebels were efficient in stopping Zach Calzada in key points of the game and will look to carry over that performance over the next few weeks. The Rebels will now play Vanderbilt, who is coming off a 34-17 loss to Kentucky. The Dores looked bad again, which is becoming the norm, and they need to find a way to put a complete game together. Lane Kiffin had his team ready to go this past weekend, and I'd expect them to bring it against the Dores. I don't know if I like the 34 point spread, but take it if you like it.

South Alabama @ Tennessee (-26.5)

The Vols are coming off a loss to No.1 Georgia, where they came out fast again in the first quarter, when they held a 10-7 lead. But they couldn't find enough offense over the remaining three quarters, thanks to a tough Dawgs defense. Tennessee will have an opportunity to become bowl eligible this weekend, but they shouldn't take South Alabama lightly, as the Jaguars do have a few playmakers on this squad. The Vols should cover this spread, but we've seen some interesting outcomes in this conference so far this season.

New Mexico State @ Kentucky ( -35 )

Kentucky snapped a three-game losing streak in Nashville this past weekend. The Wildcats got a solid game from Chris Rodriguez, along with Will Levis. That was a much needed performance from the Wildcats, as things were looking bleak for a bit. It was Vanderbilt, but breaking that skid was key. As for this weekend, Kentucky should handle New Mexico State with ease.

UL Monroe @ LSU (-28)

This shouldn't be much of a game, even though LSU is coming off a loss to Arkansas. But be careful with the spread, as the Tigers are using different QBs, so let's see if they stick with one.
