Report: Georgia QB JT Daniels Has Tested Positive For Covid-19, Quarantining
We are ten days away from Georgia taking the field in Miami for its Orange Bowl showdown with Michigan, but we now have a positive Covid case in the quarterback room. Backup QB JT Daniels has tested positive for Covid-19, according to a report from Graham Coffey of DawgPost.
On Tuesday night, Graham tweeted that Daniels had tested positive and is currently quarantining, Sources confirm to Outkick that he is expected back in time for the semifinal game against Michigan, but that they are being cautious.
This is an interesting development, as the Bulldogs are preparing to play in the Semifinals next Friday against Michigan. Daniels has backed up Bennett this season, seeing minimal playing time during the process. But, he does have the best arm between the two and could be needed against the Wolverines.
According to Graham, daily testing will ensue, in hopes of other players not testing positive. But, this is not good news for Kirby Smart, as he prepares his team for the massive game.
We will keep you informed on the latest developments.
