Ozzie Guillen Explains His Hatred for Nick Swisher

As the national sports media continues the exhaustive search for the next Charles Barkley, Ozzie Guillen fulfills that role locally for the White Sox studio programming on NBC Sports Chicago. Here he is last night, saying that he hates Nick Swisher:

"I hate Nick Swisher with my heart," Guillen said. "I think he hates me back. There's nothing wrong with that. I never talked to him. I was managing him. I didn't like the way his attitude was all fake. I don't like fake people."

Guillen managed Swisher, whose only year on the White Sox was in 2008. "It was one year too long," Guillen concluded.

Guillen spent five years at ESPN, departing in 2019. While he certainly wasn't bad, he is probably a better fit talking about the White Sox, for whom he played for 13 seasons and managed for eight.

With the White Sox relevant with a bunch of young stars -- Eloy Jimenez, Jose Abreu, Luis Robert, Yoan Moncada, Tim Anderson, and Lucas Giolito -- baseball fans could see a lot of viral clips out of Guillen this season.
