Video Of Aaron Rodgers Speaking About Sandy Hook Tragedy Contradicts CNN's Report About Him Not Believing It

CNN responded to the report that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is interested in tapping Aaron Rodgers as his Vice President running mate by publishing what was nothing short of a hit piece on the New York Jets quarterback less than 24 hours after initial reports broke.

The network claimed that Rodgers is a Sandy Hook conspiracy theorist based on alleged private conversations, but a decade-old clip completely contradicts the claims.

Pamela Brown, one of the authors of CNN's piece on Rodgers, explained that she was introduced to the quarterback during a post-Kentucky Derby party in 2013. Brown claims Rodgers "immediately began attacking the news media" and claimed the 2012 Sandy Hook tragedy "was actually a government inside job and the media was intentionally ignoring it."

CNN also cited an anonymous person who alleged that "several years ago" Rodgers claimed "Sandy Hook never happened…All those children never existed. They were all actors."

It's awfully convenient of CNN to use an author of the story itself as a source as well as another anonymous source - and then sit on the alleged story itself for 11 years - to publish less than a day after Rodgers was linked to a potential VP run.

It's important to note that Rodgers has not commented about RFK Jr.'s reported interest in having him as his running mate for the 2024 Presidential election.

Shortly after the CNN story made the rounds, Jamie Stuart of Newsday Sports dug up an old clip of Rodgers talking about the mass shooting that took place at Sandy Hook from 10 years ago.

"I hope that we can learn from this, and look for the signs more, and not ever have something like this happen and keep this on our minds," Rodgers said on 540 ESPN Milwaukee. "These are things that affect all of us directly or indirectly. This needs to be something that we learn from."

Everyone's beliefs, opinions, and thoughts change over time, and Rodgers certainly isn't excluded from that reality, but these comments coming directly from the quarterback and not a second or third-hand story from a party 11 years ago are certainly worth mentioning.
