NBA Fan Tackled After Storming Court During 76ers-Wizards Game

Continuing the series of NBA fans behaving badly, a fan was tackled as he attempted to run onto the court during Game 4 of the Wizards-76ers series in Washington.

The man, who was apprehended and banned from the arena, didn’t get far. He was tackled by the legs and then restrained by a security guard along the baseline with Washington up 80-74 late in the third quarter. Monumental Sports & Entertainment tweeted that charges are being pursued with DC MPD.

This is another example of an NBA fan acting out during the playoffs. A Celtics fan was also arrested after throwing a water bottle at Nets star Kyrie Irving on Sunday. Atlanta Hawks’ Trae Young was spat on at Madison Square Garden, and Wizards' Russell Westbrook had popcorn dumped on him in Philadelphia.

Grizzlies guard Ja Morant's parents said they were berated by Jazz fans with vulgar and racist remarks during their series, the New York Post reports.

All of the fans believed to be involved in these prior incidents have been banned indefinitely by the arenas in which they took place.
