Nate Burleson Turns Down NFL Network ‘Total Access’ Offer

Nate Burleson turned down the NFL Network's offer to front a planned revamped Total Access, sources tell Outkick. 

Burleson, as Outkick reported, was the network's first choice for the show. It was always unclear what Burleson's interest in a role change was. Sources say that he simply didn’t want to move to Los Angeles, the location of Total Access. 

Instead, Burleson opted to stay in New York to continue hosting Good Morning Football alongside Kay Adams, Peter Schrager, and Kyle Brandt. 

MJ Acosta remains an option to co-host Total Access’ next iteration, sources add.

Next week, Total Access’ ESPN rival program, NFL Live, debuts its overhaul. Its new cast features Laura Rutledge, Marcus Spears, Dan Orlovsky, Keyshawn Johnson, and Mina Kimes.

Burleson will remain on CBS’s NFL pregame show, The NFL Today, and as a correspondent and fill-in host on Extra.
