MSNBC Hosts Compare Joe Biden Recovering From COVID To Donald Trump Being Shot

President Joe Biden's declining fortunes have taken a significant toll on the mental health of the fine people at MSNBC.

Biden's atrocious debate performance in June set the alarm bells off; suddenly the entire collective media realized at once that his abilities had deteriorated significantly. Something that was obvious to unbiased observers in 2020.

Biden tried to fix it with interviews and public appearances. That didn't work.

Then, in a stunning twist of fate, former President Donald Trump was shot on Saturday in a horrifying attack at a Pennsylvania rally. To the great dismay of left-wing media personalities, Trump handled it as well as he possibly could have.

Within a few seconds, Trump stood up and raised his fist, creating a series of instantly iconic images demonstrating strength, resilience, and an air of leadership.

It was undeniably a turning point not only in the election, but the story of Donald Trump and the history of American politics. And it also apparently broke MSNBC.

MSNBC Compares COVID To Getting Shot

The assassination attempt was also widely viewed as another serious blow to an already struggling Biden campaign. But then Joe Biden, after receiving roughly six vaccination and booster doses, tested positive for COVID yet again.

Biden, who claims to be in good health, and who's received every manner of COVID protection available, will hopefully recover from what his doctor described as "mild symptoms." And if he does, according to MSNBC's Joy Reid and Jen Psaki, it should be viewed with the same level of respect and admiration as Donald Trump surviving being shot. No seriously, that's what they said.

After expressing her frustration with the fact that the Secret Service wasn't good enough at getting Trump off stage before the press could take photos, Reid went off on one of her usual nonsensical tirades.

"His survival of that, and bouncing right back and going right to his convention is being conveyed in the media world as a sign of strength. This current president of the United States is 81-years-old and has COVID, should he be fine in a couple of days, doesn't that convey exactly the same thing?"

That he's strong enough, older than Trump, to have gotten something that used to really be fatal to people his age. So if he does fine out of it and comes back and is able to do rallies, isn't that exactly the same?"

Psaki agreed, remarkably saying "It should."

It's so absurd it's hard to comprehend. Well, it would be, if it hadn't come from Joy Reid and Jen Psaki.

Of course, the two things aren't remotely comparable. Having a mild case of COVID with a runny nose is not comparable to being shot. It's the height of insanity to suggest otherwise. Which, well, it is Joy Reid we're talking about here.

Not to mention that the contrast between Trump's reaction to being shot and Biden literally walking up stairs couldn't be more stark.

Pray for Jen Psaki and Joy Reid. They need it.
