Mission: Impossible 7 Halts Filming After Positive COVID Test

Everything under the sun has tried to kill Ethan Hunt, Tom Cruise's character from the Mission: Impossible franchise, but it appears that the clandestine character has finally met his match.

Production for Mission Impossible: 7 came to a halt on Thursday after some on set tested positive for COVID-19, stopping all operations for the next two weeks according to the regulations and guidelines provided by the production companies.

It is not known whether the full set has been vaccinated. Reports from the set indicate that Cruise was filming near several set members who tested positive, requiring the actor to self-isolate for the two-week period.

Cruise famously made headlines during the film's production last year when an audio recording replayed a shouting spree from the actor, warning those on set that they would be dealt with if they were to break COVID restrictions and jeopardize their production.

“If I see you do it again, you’re f—king gone ... And if anyone in this crew does it, that’s it — and you too and you too. And you, don’t you ever f—king do it again.”

It appears that Cruise is channeling his inner Lex Grossman for the new sequel, giving the Academy something to think about going into Best Actor nominations for 2022.
