Lara Trump Tells Tyrus How She Met Her Husband Eric, Drops Impressive Flex

Lara Trump, co-chair of the Republican National Committee and former President Donald Trump's daughter-in-law, joins Tyrus on the latest episode of Maintaining with Tyrus.

While there was plenty of political talk, Tyrus asked Trump how she met her husband, Eric.

"I have to ask though, how did you and Eric meet? Like, what's the origin story?" Tyrus asked. "Because you're coming from this, he comes from that; I'm sure you were given a list of all kinds of political questions today, but I'm just curious because you guys are cool."

Lara was more than happy to share the story, which she said is one of those "when does that ever work out?" situations.

She said that it happened in New York and it was mostly thanks to her first roommate in the Big Apple.

"My first roommate, Marielle, had a friend in town this one particular night, and I was in pajamas I was ready to have like a movie night, and she begged me, ‘Please go out, will you please come out; my friend is in town,’ Lara explained.  "I've got to say thank you to Marielle because had she not forced me out that night I never would've met my husband, the father of my kids, and who knows, Tyrus, what I would be doing right now or where I'd be."

She added that at the time she had no clue that there even was a guy named Eric Trump but one of the things that made the considerably tall Lara think it could work out was that Eric is still taller than her even when she wears heels.

"I'm a very tall drink of water at 5'11' and when I put heels on it's more like 6'3"," She explained. "Eric is 6'5" and I was like, ‘I don’t know, this guy. I could get down with this. This guy's taller than me in heels. So, it could work out, I don't know.' And here we are." 

"Well on behalf of the big, tall guys everywhere, way to go, Eric," Tyrus said. "Way to bring it home."

Tyrus also made sure to get one quick flex from Lara — in the most literal sense imaginable — before bringing the show to a close.

"Hey, can we get just one? Just one? People don't recognize how jacked you are. Your bicep game is unreal."

"Like this?" Lara said before dropping a flex that will make you want to go to the gym and start doing curls until your arms fall off.
