Kyle Pitts Is An Unstoppable Touchdown Monster
The Legend of Kyle Pitts is growing with every quarter he plays for the Florida Gators.
Through three quarters against South Carolina, Pitts has four catches and two touchdowns. Last week against Ole Miss, he had eight catches and four scores.
Pitts is making himself a lot of money.
The 6-foot-6, 240-pound Pitts had 54 receptions, 659 and five touchdowns last season -- nearly leading the team in all three categories -- and is drawing comparisons to Las Vegas Raiders tight end Darren Waller.
Where he is focused on is George Kittle and Travis Kelce. Kittle signed a contract extension for five-years, $75M and Kelce inked his extension worth $57.25M over four years this offseason. Numbers that could be in play for Pitts if he keeps developing.
"I sit up in the office and watch with the coaches and try and critique their game and add certain pieces that they do in the game to add to my game because I see we kind of do a lot of things similar," Pitts told Sports Illustrated.
"But, those guys obviously - they've been in the league, and they know how to do certain things. But, seeing those contracts really just opened my eyes because years ago tight ends weren't getting those type of contracts so, now that they're changing the game it's really interesting."
As he continues to be a total mismatch against linebackers and safeties, he looks more and more like a Top 10 NFL Draft pick.
