Kim Jong-Un Reportedly in Coma

Speculation is again emerging on the health of North Korean dictator Kim Jong-Un. 

Chang Song-in, a former aide to late-South Korean president Kim Dae-Jung, alleges that Kim is in a coma.

“I assess him to be in a coma,” Chang told South Korean media. "But his life has not ended." Adding that Kim's sister, Kim Yo-Jong, is poised to take power of the country:

“A complete succession structure has not been formed, so Kim Yo-Jong is being brought to the fore as the vacuum cannot be maintained for a prolonged period."

Interestingly, last week, a South Korean spy agency claimed Mr. Kim had given Ms. Kim "more responsibilities."

Kim Yo-Jong is said to be as ruthless as her brother. 

It's important to note, most reports of Kim Jong-Un are unconfirmed. The dictator lives in secrecy and propaganda. In April, amid an absence from the public picture, reports spread that Kim was dead or close to it. He has since had limited appearances of note.

There is, however, a general consensus that Kim is of poor health. In her book "The Great Successor," Anna Fifield discussed the risk:

It could take weeks for an update on Kim Jong-Un's health. And as in the past, this may go unaddressed.
