Jeff Bezos' Ex-Wife Spends Divorce Money Supporting Far-Left Organizations To Tune Of $600M
There may not be a better indication of the ridiculous hypocrisy behind absurd far-left activism than one of the world's richest people providing an extreme amount of financial support. And not just a little support either.
Mackenzie Scott, the ex-wife of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, is distributing roughly $640 million in funding to a number of organizations and causes. And who would have ever guessed; all of the organizations she supports are engaged in promoting far-left, progressive political ideology! What a huge surprise!
Scott's "charitable" giving is to organizations that help migrants who commit crimes in the United States, as well as organizations fighting to destroy women's sports by encouraging biological males to compete against females. The Florida Immigrant Coalition and the Tennessee Immigrant & Refugee Rights Coalition, both of which are dedicated to protecting illegal immigration by fighting laws and proposals designed to enforce existing rules.
According to the New York Post, she also gave a whopping $72 million to 43 different groups that work on "gender identity" and other anti-women's sports initiatives. Sounds right.
The Left Loves The Rich Now That They're Politically Aligned
For decades, the political left claimed to be the party of the little people, fighting against the evil rich. Even today, there are a few extremely wealthy far-left politicians like Bernie Sanders and AOC who pay lip service to that ideology.
Yet over the past few years, as they've realized that the extremely wealthy use progressive political ideology to give themselves an unearned sense of morality, they've embraced donations and support from billionaires like Mackenzie Scott. With no ensuing acknowledgment of hypocrisy, naturally.
The changing political allegiances of the extremely wealthy have also put common sense, rational governance and the rule of law in a precarious position. Biden's border crisis, the encroachment by males into women's spaces, extreme overreaction to "climate change;" all threaten massive societal repercussions.
All also have the support of the far left elite who run institutions, organizations, the government and now, the billionaire donor class.
Mackenzie Scott is helping fund organizations with the intent of upending fundamental principles that society is based on. And with more millions to come, she may be successful. Especially since the progressive left no longer cares about "eating the rich" now that the rich help them.
