Hulk Hogan Says Assassination Attempt On His 'Hero' Donald Trump Made Him Speak Out

Former professional wrestling superstar Hulk Hogan made an appearance at the Republican National Convention on Thursday night to officially endorse Donald Trump for President of the United States.

Hogan sat down with Fox News and said the assassination attempt on Trump was the moment he realized that he needed to make his voice heard.

"I got tired of remaining silent," Hogan told Fox News host Bret Baier. "I sat back and watched the borders collapse; I watched the economy collapse… and when they took a shot at my hero Donald Trump, I realized that I couldn’t be silent anymore."

Quite the endorsement from Hulk Hogan.

Hogan posted about the assassination attempt on Saturday, writing on his Facebook page: "Today’s events in Butler, Pennsylvania are deeply disturbing. No President, past or present, should face such a horrific act.

"Our thoughts and prayers are with President Trump, law enforcement and the Secret Service who bravely protect and uphold our shared values."

In the interview with Fox News, Hogan addressed the now-iconic photo of former president Donald Trump raising his fist after nearly being killed by a gunshot.

"When I saw him stand up with [his] fist in the air and the blood on his face, as a warrior and as a leader, I realized that's what America needs," Hogan said.

"I knew it all along, I was just afraid to speak out," he added.

It's fascinating to see more and more celebrities and athletes starting to back Donald Trump publicly.

Although many surely supported Trump quietly in 2016 and 2020, most were afraid to make that known for fear of losing support or endorsements.

But the tide is turning.

The left-wing crowd is losing the battle to silence their detractors.

And that's a very, very good thing for the United States of America.
