Hospitals In England Will No Longer Give Puberty Blockers To Children

Transgender activists were dealt a massive blow Tuesday when the National Health Service in England confirmed that they will no longer give puberty blockers to children.

Puberty blockers have been a key tenant of so-called "gender affirming care," an evidence-free practice advocated for by activists and certain financially-motivated doctors. And while the practice continues unabated in the United States thanks to the cultural domination of progressives, several countries where science still matters have stopped these potentially harmful treatments.

Thankfully for parents in the UK, their country is now one of them.

The NHS website, according to Fox News, now acknowledges that there's no evidence of either safety or effectiveness.

"Puberty blockers (gonadotrophin-releasing hormone analogues) are not available to children and young people for gender incongruence or gender dysphoria because there is not enough evidence of safety and clinical effectiveness."

Well that's pretty much the opposite of what the media and progressive left have claimed over the past few years, isn't it? And exactly what people like J.K. Rowling have faced cancelation attempts or public shaming by "Harry Potter" actors for saying.

Will Transgender Activists Be Forced To Accept Reality?

It's not news that there's no evidence that puberty blockers are ineffective and potentially harmful. It's just new for a healthcare system as influential as the UK's to admit it.

Many of the arguments made progressives is that gender-affirming care and puberty blockers is "life saving." Literally, that children will die if they're not prescribed an entirely unproven treatment with unknown side effects. But several studies have found that the mental health for a significant percentage of children on puberty blockers actually declined.

Has that mattered to anyone in the activist community? Of course not.

Just like debates over transgender athletes competing in women's sports, common sense has been thrown out the window. With, in this case, permanent, life-altering consequences.

Today's announcement is a huge win for children and evidence-based thinking. Now it needs to be brought to the United States as well.
