Harvard Alumni Sue University Over Antisemitism On Campus

A group of Harvard University alumni are suing the school for eroding the value of their diplomas. And subjectively, it sure seems like they have an outstanding case.

According to the Jersusalem Post, ten alumni filed a lawsuit on Wednesday over the rampant antisemitism problem rapidly spreading on campus. They also alleged that anti-Israel sentiment and support for terrorism had been encouraged throughout the university.

The suit claims that the university violated an implied contract with alumni generated by Harvard policies and other materials promising to maintain and grow the school's reputation. But now that Harvard students and faculty have openly supported antisemitism, multiple major companies have publicly stated that they won't hire alumni or will downgrade the value of a Harvard degree.

According to the lawsuit, that limits future career opportunities and job prospects, leading to their seeking compensation for the cost of their degree and reputational damage. Beyond the personal restitution, they also are seeking an injunction to force Harvard to discipline anyone, faculty, students or university staff, who has been responsible for what the Jerulsalem Post describes as "antisemitic harassment and discrimination on campus."

Harvard Might Face Real-World Consequences For Anti-Israel Radicalization

One of the lawyers involved in the lawsuit, Nitsana Darshan-Leitner, told the Jerusalem Post that the suit is necessary to fight the "dangerous weaponization" of extreme ideologies within college campuses.

"This dangerous weaponization of higher education by radical faculty and students as well as the impotent administration response, all justified under the guise of academic freedom, has turned the colleges into hate centers which has greatly devalued their reputation and diplomas," said Darshan-Leitner. "We believe other graduates from other schools will soon be filing their own lawsuits."

And she's absolutely right.

For decades, far-left ideology has consumed higher education, infusing every school, department and class with progressive concepts, demands and viewpoints. Unsurprisingly, students have listened to the vile hatred coming from heavily-biased faculty, becoming even more radicalized against Israel and Jewish people. All while championing "diversity, equity and inclusion" initiatives.

Harvard, as one of the most extreme left-wing institutions, has led the charge towards tolerating and encouraging antisemitism under the guise of "anticolonialism." If this lawsuit is successful, it could open the floodgates for other suits challenging the financial ramifications of the concerning and inexcusable rise of university sponsored bigotry.
