Girl Rips Minnesota School Board Over BLM Posters After Promise Of 'No Politics'

A school board in Minnesota is still feeling the wrath of one nine-year-old student who scolded them earlier this month for their inconsistencies on displaying political messaging. According to the student, who is identified only as "Novalee," the message was clear: no politics in school.

That's what she and others were told by the school board back in late May. After hearing that message, she was surprised to see Black Lives Matter and Amanda Gorman posters on her teacher's wall at Lakeville Elementary School.

What did she do? Well, she informed the principal and asked for them to be removed in accordance with the rules put forth by the school board, but the principal refused. In a shocking turn of events (not really), the principal said members of the school board were actually the ones who made the posters.

"When I was here two weeks ago, you told us to report any BLM in our schools. Apparently, you know they’re in our schools because you made the signs," she said when addressing the school board back on June 8, via Fox News.

Yeah, I wasn't kidding when I said the school board is probably still feeling her wrath, even two weeks later. But it doesn't stop there. She attacked the messages of the posters, saying the political message with BLM is clear: "Getting rid of police officers, rioting, burning buildings down while King Gov. (Tim) Walz just sits on his throne and watches."

"I am nine years old, and I know that," she said. "You expect me to believe that you did not know what you were doing when you were making these posters? C’mon, people!"

The young girl cited Martin Luther King Jr.'s "I Have a Dream" speech when making the point that she doesn't judge people by their skin color, but rather "by the way they treat me." Her feelings are reflected by many others who feel Black Lives Matter pushes divisiveness.

At the end of the day, the school board said "no politics in school," and Novalee plans to enforce that rule. The Lakeville School District was already dealing with controversy back in 2020 over using BLM posters in classrooms, according to KARE 11. That's one reason the school board had already addressed the issue.

Actions are louder than words, however.
