Georgia Southern Nose Tackle Suspended Indefinitely After Stone Cold Chug Stunt

Georgia Southern nose tackle Gavin Adcock, the brains behind Saturday's Stone Cold beer chug on top of a moving bus carrying the football team to its game against Louisiana-Lafayette, has been suspended indefinitely from the team, the school announced Monday.

Adcock, the mullet-sporting aspiring country music singer, is seen on video catching a beer thrown by a Georgia Southern fan and doing what a fifth-year senior does to a beer -- he crushed it. Straight inhaled it.

It's unclear if athletic director Jared Benko, who fired head football coach Chad Lunsford after Saturday's loss, is in the mood to reinstate a beer-chugging senior. Adcock's player profile page is still active.

In a Monday press conference, Benko said the new head coach will be "highly disciplined, blue collar and tough."

In other words, at a school that prides itself as being one of -- if not the biggest -- parties in college football, there appears to be a new sheriff coming to town and it doesn't seem like Stone Cold chugs on top of school buses will be a thing moving forward.

As for Adcock's future, he has his breakout video and a full Sun Belt career behind him. He shouldn't have trouble headlining Statesboro bars and the coastal Georgia beach bars in the very near future.
