Donald Trump Joins Rumble Hours Before Ohio Rally, Streaming LIVE Tonight

Hours before his rally in Ohio Saturday evening, former President Donald Trump was announced as a verified account on Rumble — a video sharing platform that serves as an alternative to YouTube.

The rally will be streaming live from Lorain County Fairgrounds in Wellington, Ohio at 7 p.m. (EST). Click here to join the stream.

In a report from Reuters, "Trump spokeswoman Liz Harrington told Reuters that joining Rumble was in addition to the former president's plan to start his own platform, rather than a replacement for this plan. Trump, who earlier this month shut down his recently-launched blog, has not given details on the proposed platform.

"It is a great way to reach the American people in a time of unprecedented assault on free speech in our country by Big Tech tyrants."

In the midst of an indefinite ban from YouTube's platform following the Capitol riots of January 6, the Google-owned website said it would allow former President Trump to return on the site after substantial proof of de-escalation of violence stemming from the riots.

Nearly six months after the event, Trump remains banned on YouTube and among key names in Big Tech — including Twitter, Facebook, Google and AWS.

YouTube's policies and defense for censoring predominantly Republican figures and Conservative content has been a familiar narrative for the American people.

In early June, Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) was banned from YouTube for a week after violating anti-"COVID-19 disinformation" guidelines.

In an interview with Fox News, Johnson spoke out against YouTube's policies that appear to be one-sided in enforcement. “YouTube’s ongoing COVID censorship proves they have accumulated too much unaccountable power.”

He added, “Big Tech and mainstream media believe they are smarter than medical doctors who have devoted their lives to science and use their skills to save lives. They have decided there is only one medical viewpoint allowed, and it is the viewpoint dictated by government agencies. How many lives will be lost as a result? How many lives could have been saved with a free exchange of medical ideas?”
