College Football Week 9 Betting Trends

The No. 5 TCU Horned Frogs have paid off on the betting lines in 14 of their last 20 games. The Horned Frogs will be in action Thursday when they play host to the West Virginia Mountaineers as early 14.5-point favorites at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. The Mountaineers are 2-10 against the spread in their last dozen October games according to the OddsShark College Football Database. The Horned Frogs edged the Mountaineers 31-30 on the road when the schools clashed last season, failing to cover the 3.5-point spread at the sportsbooks that day.

Elsewhere on the Week 9 slate, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish are 19-1 ATS in their last 20 October road games as they travel to play the Temple Owls this week, while N.C. State's run of 8-2 SU and ATS will be on the line as they get a visit from the Clemson Tigers. The Tigers are pegged as 9.5-point road favorites against the Wolfpack.

California is 5-15 ATS in its last 20 home games as it hosts USC this week, while Stanford is 6-0 both SU and ATS in its last six games as it heads out on the road to face Washington State. Utah has paid out on the betting lines in six of its past eight October home games with the Utes getting a visit from Oregon State on Saturday.

The UNDER has paid out in eight of Michigan's last 11 games as the Wolverines travel to Minnesota to take on the Golden Gophers on Saturday. Michigan, at No. 15 in the AP Top 25, is pegged as a 10-point favorite against Minnesota.
