Cardi B Says 'We Need Cops' Then Caves and Deletes It

Cardi B -- creator of NPR's Song of the Year, "WAP" --- tweeted Thursday that the idea of defunding the police is "bullshit."

Cardi B, who supports the BLM movement and Bernie Sanders, took a stance that didn't sit well with her usual supporters. Perhaps, that's why the rapper left the tweet up for just a split second before moving it into the irreversible Twitter trash:

Cardi B has previously said she frequently deletes tweets that she later feels are "not for fun and entertainment." I don't think that's the case here, though. This deletion came quickly and didn't survive nearly as long as this gem, which is still in existence:

Like most other public figures, Cardi quickly caved to the Twitter Mob after its anonymous captain tasked with the anti-police crew put out a hit. (If you are unfamiliar with the mob terms "captain" and "crew" -- you've shamefully missed out on The Sopranos.)

What's hilarious is that this tweet was one of Cardi's B's least controversial since she joined the platform and put "DIAMOND PUSSHY" in her bio.

How dare she tweet that "we need cops"? For a reminder, this mindless debate was ignited this week when Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) called for "no more policing," even though murder rates increased by 30% last year, one of the largest increases in American history. What do Tlaib and other radical loons think abolishing police would do to murder rates next year?

Even the rest of Cardi's tweet, discussing laws that should apply to police as well, were far from controversial. Though there are incidents in which police have been trained to use force, her suggestions were not unreasonable. Of course, tweets like that stand no chance, so she quickly shifted gears and called every single Republican a "fuckin joke" instead.
