Biden Rambles, Sounds Hoarse, Lies About Health In First Post-Debate Interview
It's been a rough week and a half for President Joe Biden.
It started with his horrifying, unbearable performance at the presidential debate on June 27th. Biden couldn't answer basic questions, sounded hoarse, lied repeatedly, and frequently gave incoherent responses.

Then, for possibly the first time in recorded history, left-wing media outlets decided to criticize one of their political allies. Finally unburdened by what has been with their protection of Biden's senility, a flood of stories from CNN, The New York Times, and even MSNBC showed what can be when the media tells the truth.
Biden's mental decline became the focus of anonymous reports, some of his closest friends and supporters said outright that he should drop out of the race, and devastating first-hand accounts revealed more about his frail state, need for nap time, and inability to remember names of close family friends.
In order to reassure the public and Democratic donors that he's capable of remaining president for the next few months, Biden's handlers arranged an interview with George Stephanopoulos, a former Democratic staffer, that aired Friday night.
It was not reassuring.
Joe Biden Won't Commit To Medical Evaluation, Rambles Again
Stephanopoulos, in the 22 minute long interview, asked Biden about his embarrassing debate performance, to which Biden admitted he didn't know if he had watched it afterwards. The question though, allowed him to settle on one of the multiple excuses his handlers had trotted out in the aftermath of the disastrous performance.
Biden stuck with the "I had a cold" explanation, though of course, failed to explain why, if he had a cold, Dr. Jill led him to shake hands with the debate moderators. Or why he was sent to a Waffle House afterwards to shake hands and interact in close proximity with the public.
When pressed further on what happened, he reverted to claiming that it was a "bad night," ignoring that he's had similar lapses for several years. Though in between, he did some of his usually disconnected, incoherent rambling.
"Yeah. Look. (long pause) The whole way I prepared," Biden said. "Nobody's fault. Mine. Nobody's fault but mine. I, I prepared, but I usually would do sit down as I did come back with foreign leaders Or the National Security Council for explicit detail. And I realized partway through that, you know, that I quoted the New York Times, had me down at ten points before the debate. Nine now, or whatever the hell it is. The fact matter is that when I looked at his, he also lied 28 times I couldn't. I mean, the way the debate ran. Not my fault. Nobody else's fault. No one else's fault."
At one point, to answer whether he could serve effectively for the next four years, he leaned forward and gave two totally inexplicable answers, that he "put NATO together," and "shut Putin down."
At least the spray tan made him look less waxy.
Stephanopoulos Throws His Support Behind Best Candidate To Beat Trump
To his credit, Stephanopoulos did press Biden on whether he'd commit to an "independent medical evaluation" and to release the results for the public to see.
Biden, naturally, declined, likely realizing what the results would show.
But Stephanopoulos also revealed his likely motivation for asking the question; he wants to beat Donald Trump.
"Yes, but you're behind now in the popular vote," he told Biden. To which Biden responded, "I don't, I don't buy that." Stephanopoulos responded, "Is it worth the risk?" Clearly identifying that he believes the biggest risk is Trump winning the election.
As if we needed more indication of why the Biden camp chose Stephanopoulos.
Biden once again also lost his train of thought, pausing for an excruciating amount of time before reverting back to his old standby: a hoarse, barely audible "anyway."
He's doing great.
Doing the goodest, actually.
The best news for the Trump campaign though, is that Biden seems committed to staying in the race, unless God comes down and tells him to withdraw. When Stephanopoulos asked if he'd consider withdrawing, he answered, "Well depends if the Lord Almighty comes out and tells me that I might do that…" a devastating answer for Democrats hoping he'd step down.
The spray tan, the drugs, the time of day, it's all designed to make Biden look as good as he possibly can. Yet the broadcast audio clearly had to be boosted to make his voice intelligible, he repeatedly lost his train of thought, mumbled incoherently, lied about a "cold" and sounded hoarse. It's been a sinking ship since the debate, and even the friendliest of interviewers wasn't able to stop it.
