Aaron Rodgers Pretends His Helmet Is Broken To Run His Own Plays

Aaron Rodgers hopped on The Pat McAfee Show and spilled the beans that he sometimes pretends his helmet mic isn't working to call his own plays. Absolutely brilliant and refreshing that Rodgers is getting this transparent about his ways. Part of what makes him such a great player is that he knows when to tell a coach to kick rock and we love it!

"I've done that every now and then" coming from Aaron Rodgers means he does this all the time. If you aren't going to select any of those top receivers in the draft to help your Super Bowl champion quarterback, he can AT LEAST call his own plays. Not like he said he never listens to coaching, but he understands you don't pay a quarterback $133 million to rely on the offensive coordinator.

Some football fans see his honesty here as a sign he's a narcissistic and petty, which is true in just about every way. The question now becomes which successful NFL quarterbacks aren't absolute psychopaths? Patrick Mahomes just signed a deal worth $503 million and he's still upset he was ranked 4th on the NFL Top-100 list. Anything from play calling to controlling the narrative off the field shows how bonkers NFL superstar QB's really are.

We'd like to personally thank Aaron Rodgers for his honesty and we know the revenge tour he's on is playing a small role in that. So don't bother complaining that Aaron Rodgers is un-coachable or that he doesn't respect head coach Matt LaFleur. The guy is simply a legend.
