Adam Vinatieri's Selling His Indianapolis House With Indoor Swimming Pool

After posting hundreds, if not thousands, of athlete houses over my Internet career, never in my wildest dreams would I have guessed Adam Vinatieri would've been living in a massive 12,285 sq. ft. house in suburban Indianapolis while kicking for the Colts. Adam, 47, still hasn't officially retired, but his career with the Colts that started in 2006 after a decent career with the Patriots is over and now it's time to sell the house that Adam's owned since 2012 - asking price $2,250,000.

This is about as big as they come in the athlete real estate market. You're getting six bedrooms, eight bathrooms, plenty of acreage. The place is massive and there's a good chance the greenhouse is bigger than some of your homes.

From Adam's realtor:

I was not expecting to go on a tour and see that impressive house that a member of the Pacers should buy. Something tells me Adam's done very, very well with investments. He was making decent money from the Colts -- $51 million in career earnings -- but this place cost a fortune to furnish. I have to assume he's downsizing and moving to a trailer in Florida or somewhere the taxes won't kill him. He's at that age where it's time to start thinking about living on a fixed income.

Mortgage: $11,000 or so before you pay someone to keep this place in order.
